My Story

Sensitive Success with Frida Kabo

Growing up in Sweden, I followed what I thought was expected of me, feeling like the world was a bit too much and that everyone had a manual to life that I had somehow missed. I observed and followed. I ticked the boxes: education, career, husband, kids, house, Volvo (it was in Sweden). I had all the great things, and I was still not happy and ashamed because I was feeling that way. What was wrong with me? Something had to change!

I felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore, so I started re-discovering and finding my own way. I got help from a LifeSpider coach and knew that was what I also wanted to do.

Besides my Master's in Business Administration, I’m an Extended Freedom Coach, Self-leadership Coach, LifeSpider Coach, Reiki, and sound healer, and now adding Tarot Theraphy.

I have gone through too many online courses to count on how to get my online business to work. I have worked as a Life Coach and virtual assistant and helped others on the journey in different ways.

Now, we live in a beautiful bush block in New Zealand, homeschooling and working from home. Created a life and business that works for me helping others do the same.

ARE YOU SENSITIVE?

When I embraced that I was a Highly Sensitive person, things shifted. Are you a highly sensitive person?

Up to 30 % of the population have the innate trait of a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), also called Sensory Processing Sensitivity. If you're still reading this, you’re probably one of us. Our brains work a bit differently, and it’s such a gift when we embrace and celebrate it!

If you haven't heard about it before, the acronym DOES to explain it:
- Depth of process - We process things deeply.
- Easily Overstimulated - We get easily overstimulated and overwhelmed.
- Emotional reactivity, Empathy - We show deep emotional reactivity and empathy.
- Sensing the Subtle - We notice things that others don’t.

Highly Sensitive Person, HSP, is a term used for someone who displays increased emotional sensitivity stronger reactivity to both external and internal stimuli—pain, hunger, light, and noise—and has a complex inner life.

When I first heard about it, I thought, well, isn't that everyone? But when I embraced that it's a special trait, I could see how it served me and supported me on a whole new level. I stopped asking: “What is wrong with me?” and started asking, “How can I support myself better?”

Psst… it’s found in more than a hundred species and is a survival trait for humanity. We are soo needed!
